Locate the Air Filter Housing

- The air filter housing is typically a rectangular or square black plastic box located near the top of the engine compartment, usually on the driver's side.
Remove the Housing Cover
- Unclip the metal retaining clips or use a flathead screwdriver to loosen the screws or clamps holding the cover of the air filter housing in place.
- Carefully lift or slide the cover off and set it aside.
Remove the Old Air Filter
- Take note of how the current air filter is seated within the housing.
- Gently pull out the old air filter and dispose of it properly.
Clean the Air Filter Housing
- Use a microfiber cloth or rag to wipe out any dirt or debris inside the air filter housing. Ensure it is clean before installing the new filter.
Install the New Air Filter
- Insert the new air filter into the housing, making sure it is seated correctly and oriented the same way the old filter was.
Replace the Housing Cover
- Put the housing cover back in place and secure it with the clips, screws, or clamps that were removed earlier.
Close the Hood
- Ensure everything is secure, then close the hood of your vehicle.
Final Inspection
- Start the engine and let it run for a couple of minutes to make sure everything is functioning correctly.
